Earth Day 2010 Official Contest Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter, educators (including traditional classroom teachers, preschool teachers, homeschool teachers, and outdoor educators) must submit an essay, story, or lesson plan of at least one page about how they used a book (or books) published by Dawn Publications with their students. Each entry must include the following information: teacher name, grade level, school name, address and phone number. All entries must be received by 11:59 pm PST, April 22nd, 2010. All entries, including rights therein of winning entries, become the property of Dawn Publications and will not be returned. Dawn Publications is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, damaged, mutilated, postage due, incomplete, or illegible entries or mail.

Contest is open to all legal residents of the US, except family members of Dawn Publications employees. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

One entry per person. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, warrant and represent that their entry is their original work and grant to Dawn Publications the right to edit, publish, promote, and otherwise use their entries without further notice or compensation. Dawn Publications decisions concerning all matters relating to this contest shall be final and binding.

One (1) First place winner will receive $200 worth of Dawn Publications books of their choice. One (1) Second place winner will receive $100 worth of Dawn Publications books of their choice. One (1) Third place winner will receive $50 worth of Dawn Publications books of their choice. Book worth is based on retail price. Additional discounts cannot be applied.

All entrants, as a condition of entry, agree to release Dawn Publications, its affiliates, distributors, and agencies from liability for injuries or damages of any kind sustained through participation in this contest or use of a prize once accepted.

No cash substitutions or transfers of prizes allowed.

Each winner will be required to sign and return a letter of acceptance within ten (10) days of notification attempt or an alternative winner may be selected. By accepting the prize, each winner grants to Dawn Publications the right to use his or her name, likeness, hometown, biographical information, and entry for purposes of advertising and promotion without further notice or compensation, except where prohibited by law.

Winners will be announced on the Dawn Publications website.
