Lori Mortensen has always liked honeybees – she just wasn’t sure they liked her. If a honeybee flew around her head when she was a child, she jumped up and ran away. Today, Lori is a multi-published children’s author who enjoys writing fiction and nonfiction on all sorts of subjects – including honeybees! When she’s not plunking away at the keyboard on her latest project, she’s watching the wildlife that live near her family’s home in the foothills of Northern California. Deer, wild turkeys, red-tailed hawks, and Canadian geese are just a few of the regular visitors. In the Trees, Honey Bees! is Lori’s first book with Dawn Publications.
