Robert F. Baldwin, of Newcastle, Maine and Des Moines, Iowa has spent much of his life on or near the ocean, sailing, beachcombing, digging clams and exploring. As a storyteller and musician, many of his songs and stories are those of the sea. Just as some people think of the Earth as their mother, he thinks of the ocean in the same way.
