Victoria Covell grew up roaming the woods and seashore of Connecticut, looking for the hidden mystical – both forest fairies and mythical mermaids. She has lived in wild places in all four corners of the United States as well as in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Presently, she lives in a log cabin in the forest of the Sierra Nevada Mountains with her two sons, Seth and Noah Buchanan the award-winning illustrator of two Dawn books, Spirit Animals and Places of Power. One of her favorite passtimes is peering into a microscope at micro flora and fauna – the littlest Spirit Animals.
