This story begins in the very beginning, and ends with the formation of Earth. The second book, From Lava to Life: The Universe Tells Our Earth Story, tells of tiny new living things and ends with giant dinosaurs. In the third book, Mammals Who Morph: The Universe Tells Our Evolution Story, mammals rise and so do you.

  1. I just used Born With a Bang in my upper elementary classroom as we addressed the early origins of the universe and of life. It was really wonderful to present information that’s coupled with such inspiring artwork. Dana Andersen is amazing! We did large-scale artwork of our own in my class, inspired by Dana’s work, and displayed it in a big Evolution Museum mounted by our entire school.

  2. I teach high school Biology. I LOVE your books! I read them to my classes every year. They do a great job putting together everything we have learned all year. It also helps to address the resistance I get when we study evolution. I know you geared the books to middle school, but they are great for my high school students. Thank you for creating these books!!!

    Sincerely,
    Jennifer Burgan
